Setting up a Sending Domain is essential to protect your brand and maximise inbox placement.
By authenticating your From domain (e.g., email.yourdomain.com) with DNS records like DKIM, SPF and DMARC, mailbox providers can verify your emails are legitimate—reducing spoofing and improving deliverability.
📋 Prerequisites
- Swift Digital Suite administrator access
You are an administrator in the Swift Digital Suite platform (Administration → Account Settings). - Access to your DNS provider for the sending domain
You can log in to the DNS host for the domain (e.g., Cloudflare, Route 53, GoDaddy) to add/update the required CNAME/TXT records for DKIM/SPF/DMARC/CRP.Sending domain verification
You can verify ownership of the sending domain using either DNS verification (TXT record) or email verification.
⚠️ Important considerations
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)
Publish Swift Digital’s DKIM CNAMEs for each selector and allow DNS to propagate.
SPF (Sender Policy Framework)
- Include Swift Digital in your SPF TXT.
- Keep within 10 DNS lookups with a single SPF record.
- Use a dedicated subdomain if needed.
- Ensure alignment with the visible From domain.
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance)
- Publish a DMARC TXT at _dmarc.yourdomain and start with p=none to monitor.
- Set rua/ruf mailboxes and enforce alignment (adkim/aspf).
- Move to quarantine/reject once reports look good.
- Watch third-party senders for alignment.
CRP (Custom Return Path / Bounce Domain)
Set up a dedicated return‑path subdomain (e.g., rp.yourdomain) and add the required CNAME/TXT records to route bounces via Swift Digital Suite. This improves alignment and reputation, don’t reuse this subdomain for websites or other services.
Wait for DNS propagation
Allow 24–48 hours for DNS propagation.
