Welcome to the new Mail House Export feature!
The Export function is similar to Importing - in reverse. This time you will obviously be extracting data from your database, instead of inserting it. This allows you to pull data from your database and import it into programs like Excel, which can then be used to present statistics to your supervisors or colleagues.
Find the Export feature under the Mail House > Import / Export tab. After you have selected the 'Import/Export' tab in your Mail House. Navigate through to the Export screen by selecting the Export tab.
STEP 1: Export Type - Who are you exporting?
Select what type of Contact Group you would like to export:
- All Contacts in the Mail House: Unless specifically directed - DO NOT SELECT THIS OPTION.
- Contacts from Mail Groups: Choose from existing Mail Groups in your Mail House:
- Contacts who have received specified emails: Choose from Published email documents:
Once you have selected your Export Type, and added in your desired contact groups, Click to Continue.
Step 2: Select Data - What fields do you need?
Data? Your account has Fields that store your contact's information. For example, your Account's 'First Name' field will store your contacts first name (data).
In this step you will be selecting the contact information. It is important to ask yourself - "Why am I exporting this data?" - and make sure you've included all the necessary fields.
- You must select each Field that you would like to display in your Exported File.
- Scroll or Search for your desired fields. Click to add to your file.

Once you are satisfied that all of the necessary data will be included in your file, Click to Continue.
Step 3: Export Options - Applying conditions
Filter your Contact Group by
- Subscription status, and further by Date Range.
Example:
Subscribed Contacts + Date Range = Only contacts who have subscribed within the date range. - Domain
Example:
Limit by 'Swiftdigital.com.au' = Only contacts who's email address uses this domain address.
Note: Date Range can only be applied if a Subscription Status is selected.
When you are satisfied with your selection, click to begin your download.
Your file will save as a .CSV that can be opened in Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
