What is SSO (Single Sign-on) and MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)?

What is Multi-factor Authentication?

A way to improve your data security and privacy is by using Multi-factor authentication.

Multi-factor authentication or MFA as it’s commonly known is a security feature that adds two or more layers of authentication when logging into an account.

This, in turn, verifies your identity and asks for multi credentials, improving your overall data security and privacy.

These verifications can include a unique number being sent to you via SMS or email or facial recognition from your phone.

Swift Digital offer this service as an extra layer of protection of data security and privacy to minimise the risk of data breaches and make it harder for somebody to access your account.

What is Single Sign-On? (SSO)

Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication capability that allows users to access multiple applications with one set of sign-in credentials. It is a widely used way of protecting data security and privacy.

It verifies and works with other websites to use other, trusted sites to verify users.

How do I enable SSO or MFA?

To enable these features you will need to contact your Swift Digital Account Manager Thi or Ryan to find out more about enabling either feature.

Cant log in?

  1. Check that you have used the correct password.
You may have multiple accounts set up in your Authenticator App.
Only ONE of these passwords will be associated with your Swift Digital log-in
  2. Password Timeout.
If you see your passwords turn RED, a timeout will occur soon, rendering all current passwords inactive.
It is best to wait until a password is generated.
