How do I know what dimensions should I use for my images?
Email Composer, Landing Pages, and the Events Desk Registration Form Builder use images to amplify the look and feel of your communications. Whenever you drag an image widget to an empty block or select a layout for your documents, the image placeholder gives you a recommended dimension (in pixels).
The width of the image matters most, as you want the image to fit the block.
The height is entirely dependent on how deep you want your image to appear in that block.
How do I resize my image using Resize Tool?
1. Ensure that you know the exact or specific dimensions of the image that you need.
2. In the Art Library Editor, Select the Resize tool.
3. In the Dimension section right under the image, type in the exact dimension that you need for this image to be. Width in the first box and height in the second box.
4. The padlock option allows you to maintain aspect ratio. Lock this if you want a specific width for the image, and it will automatically adjust the height accordingly.
Unlocking this will enable you to add a specific width and height for the image in pixels.
5. Reset allows you to go back to the original dimension of the image.
6. Once you have specified the dimensions click on Save to apply the changes. Using the "enter" key from your keyboard will not work.
You will see a confirmation message that "Your image has been successfully saved."
Click on Ok to close. You would need to Exit by clicking the X mark on the upper right hand corner of the Editor. You will see that image has been resized to your desired dimensions.
Note:
- The image quality will be preserved. Only the width and height of the image will be changed upon doing the resize option.
- On top of the image, you can zoom in and zoom out the image.
