Email Composer enables you to set content rules to dynamically provide each recipient with the most relevant content. You can set rules for each Content Block, based on mail group subscription, Mail House field data, or previous activity on other Suite emails, events and surveys.

Add Dynamic Content Rules
Hover over the block to which you wish to apply the rules. Select the target button from the hover-over options.
The Dynamic Content Rules popup will load.
Rules can be added in combination and you can have more than one of the same kind of rule. eg. Two mail groups rules, or a mail group rule plus a field value rule plus an activity rule, etc.
Add a Mail Group rule
Serve different content to different mail groups.
1. Click the blue Add a mail group rule button.
2. Choose Display only to or Hide from from the first dropdown menu.
3. Select the mail group from the dropdown menu.
4. Choose whether or not the block will be shown to anonymous web visitors.
This option, when ticked, will allow all anonymous web visitors to the web version of the email to see this content block.
Add a field value rule
Serve different content to different audience segments, based on any data you have stored in the Mail House.
1. Click the blue Add a field value rule button.
2. Choose Display only to or Hide from from the first dropdown menu.
3. Select a Mail House field from the dropdown menu.
4. Choose an expression from the dropdown menu: equals, contains, is less than, is less than or equal to, is greater than, is greater than or equal to
5. Enter the field value.
6. Choose whether or not the block will be shown to anonymous web visitors.
This option, when ticked, will allow all anonymous web visitors to the web version of the email to see this content block.
Add an activity rule
Serve different content to recipients who have previously opened, clicked, registered, etc.
1. Click the blue Add an activity rule button.
2. Choose Display only to or Hide from from the first dropdown menu.
3. Choose the activity from the dropdown menu: opened, clicked, registered for, declined, attended, submitted
4. Choose the Suite email, event or survey from the dropdown menu.
5. Choose whether or not the block will be shown to anonymous web visitors.
This option, when ticked, will allow all anonymous web visitors to the web version of the email to see this content block.
Click the red delete button to remove a rule, and the green Save button to save and exit.
The target icon will change to indicate that one or more rules are in place, and the number of rules in the email is listed during the publishing process.

Check that your 'Preview Recipient':
- Belongs to those Mail Groups specified for the content block in question and/or
- Satisfies the set rules given to view the corresponding content blocks.
For example, to view all blocks, the Preview Recipient must belong to ALL of the Mail Groups specified for each block with Dynamic Content Rules AND satisfy all field value/action rules as well.
