The QuickLinks Widget

The QuickLinks widget automatically creates a Contents list / 'In This Edition' section - a list of Anchor Links to each Article in the document.

When viewed in the inbox or on the web, these links are clickable - they will take you to that specific Article in the document.

When you click on a particular Article in the Quicklinks list, you'll see your page URL change - it will change to the Anchor Link for that particular article. You can copy this URL and use it as a Hyperlink to your article. Feel free to use this Hyperlink anywhere in your document to create your own Anchor Link to the article.

In the Editor:

  • Each Article Block with a Title will be listed in the Widget. Uncheck the 'Quicklinks box' to remove an Article from the list.

  • To update the text in the Quicklinks list, change the Article Title text.

View on Web:

  • To get the link to an Article, save the QuickLinks to your document and view it on Web and click on the links / open in new tab.

  • Copy the URL for the new tab, use it as an Anchor Link to your article.

  • Take the Anchor Link from the Quicklinks widget (must be viewed on Web), and head back to the Editor to create a hyperlink or Link Button.

Creating your own Anchor Points

This is a technical process and only recommended if you need to create Anchor Points within an Article text.

If you're simply wanting to create and anchor link to the start of an article, please use the Quick Links method. You can always use the QuickLinks widget to grab the Link to an Article, and then delete the Quicklinks widget afterwards.

To proceed:

In order to create an anchor destination, simply highlight the text you want to be the destination and click the Anchor button (highlighted in red). This anchor destination will then display with a flag, like such anchor_made.png .

Note: to test your anchor links, you must send a Test email, or view the Web Version of your document.

After that, just type in the anchor name (without space):

After you add the anchor destination, go to the block where you want to choose text to hyperlink that will point to the destination. Highlight the text and click the chain icon button.

Change the Protocol to "Other". Then add # with anchor name e.g #anchorname and press OK. The text will now appear as a regular hyperlink but to an anchor on the page.
