Why is my image is upside down (or sideways) in my preview/test?

Sometimes you may come across this issue where your image looks upright in the content editor (or other desktop programs) but it rotates (sideways or upside down) in your preview or test. 

This issue is related to the file type, as some image files contain an EXIF extension. This extension includes information about the orientation of the camera when the photo was taken. This EXIF extension is supported by file types .JPG, .TIF and .WAV. EXIF extensions are not supported in all software, which can make it hard to detect.

In order to remove this extension, you can simply resave the image as a .PNG or .GIF.

This will have to be done external to the Suite through an image editing program. Basic programs like MS Paint are more than sufficient to do this. See below for how to Save As a new file type.
