Art Library: Image colours are different after uploading / image is not matching the colours in the document

Uploading images across applications can result in a slight distortion in colours. Often as a result of converting unique colours to the standard web colour space (sRGB).

You may try to colour match your Image externally, only to find them shifted slightly after uploading.

This may be frustrating if you're trying to create seamless colour motifs throughout your document.

Preserve image colours with .JPEG file types

When using colour sensitive images, .JPEG is highly recommended.

By saving and uplaoding the image as a .JPEG file type, the colours are converted with better consistency.

Steps

  1. Find the original source of your image
  2. Download the Image to your computer
  3. Open the image on your computer
  4. Click to 'Save As'
  5. Select the file type .JPEG
  6. Save the image
  7. Give the image a new name so you can easily identify it
  8. Upload the .JPEG image to the Art Library
