SMS Desk: How to create a new SMS?

How to create a new SMS?
1. On the Swift Digital Dashboard, click on Choose a Module dropdown under the Swift Digital Logo on the top left corner. 

 

 

2. Select SMS Desk

3. It will take to SMS Dashboard, Select a folder first where you want to save your SMS then click the green button +Create a new SMS
 

 

4. Create a New SMS screen will pop out. 

 

  • Message Title - This is the title of your SMS. This will only be displayed on SMS Desk. It will not be visible to end users or recipients. 
  • Message - This is the area where you need to type in the actual SMS Message that your end users or recipients will see on their mobile devices. 
  • Add Personalisation - Just like with email, you can personalise your SMS messages by pulling in relevant Standard or Custom Fields from the Mail House. This allows you to insert tailored details—such as names or other contact-specific information—directly into your message. The number of characters will depend on the actual number of characters for this field that's on the Mail House. 

     

    • Personalise Field - This is the Standard and Custom Field that's on the Mail House
    • Text for blanks - You can add a replacement text as fall back text in case some of the contacts from your Mail Group does not contain any data on that Standard and Custom Fields. 
  • Add Emoji - You can add emojis into your SMS messages. Whatever emoji is on the drop down, these are the only supported ones at the moment. You can select but no search option. 

     

  • Add a URL - You can load, add and delete link in your SMS. This is handy if you often use your webpage in your SMS messages. The total number of characters depends on the actual number of characters for the link, including special characters. 

     

    • Saved URLs - You can select from any of the previously saved links. 
    • Add new URL - This allows you to add and save new links that you can select and load in the future. 
    • Delete URL - This will allow you to delete saved URLs that you no longer need. 
  • Template - This allows you to add/save and delete SMS template. You can easily load this on future SMS message. You can select and load existing template from the dropdown, or the SMS Message that you have created you can save it as a new template by clicking on Save and typing in the New Template Name. 

     

5. When done, click on Save SMS button on the lower right hand corner to save it.
 

 

6. Your SMS message can be seen on the SMS Dashboard
